Ms. Jessica was referred to us by a friend two years ago. My daughter, aged 6 at the time, started working with Jessica twice a week to learn Spanish. She didn’t know any Spanish when she started, and now two years later, she can answer questions, read and understand Spanish. Ms. Jessica makes the online class very fun and engaging by including songs, and coloring, reading fun books, etc. We also got to meet her in person in Costa Rica in 12/2022, and my daughter spent a day with Ms Jessica and her family exploring the town, and having an immersion experience. She had a lot of fun going to the zoo, getting ice cream and playing in the park. We have had a great experience with Ms. Jessica, and have even recommended her to another friend of ours, who also had a great experience.
My almost 4-year old kid has been taking classes with Experiencia Amistad since he was 2.5 years old via Zoom. I didn’t think that a virtual class with a 2-year-old was even possible. But teacher Jessy built a strong connection with the children even through a computer screen.
She incorporates songs, games and stories while also reviewing material such as the days of the week, the letters and numbers. She often improvises based on what the kids are doing, which makes each child feel understood. My stubborn toddler did not want to practice counting with us, but with teacher Jessy he learned to count up to 20. She is also the only person he likes to practice letters with.
My experience in CR was amazing! I was introduced to so many new people and places, and the encouragement and support I received to use Spanish helped my language skills greatly! My favorite part was getting to visit an animal sanctuary and spend the day there, spending time with sloths, parrots, and other animals. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone!
